Lack of Motivation

Today I went to the gym and following Jolie's idea I am going to add a fun happy face sticker to my calendar. I find it so hard to motivate myself to go to the gym. Any tips??

Also, I find that once I'm at the gym I tend to avoid the equipment unless I go with my brother because there are often some scary jacked up guys on them. I think I will try and make it to a fitness class tomorrow if I don't get a call to work. Those are more fun.

  1. Fitness classes can definitely be fun. Today was my first day back to work and the only thing that kept me GOING to the gym after I dropped the boys off at home, was that damn sticker LOL

  2. You have to find something that you're really interested in. For me, I found my groove at the gym when I discovered some classes and even became an instructor. Are there any classes you might be interested in? If there is a weights class it can be helpful in learning some basic weight exercises that you can continue to do outside in the weight area. Do you have any friends that work out at the gym you go to? If so maybe you can have them meet you at a class to hold you accountable.

    Also, you don't have to work out at the gym. What about workout videos at home?

  3. I hear you on the lack of motivation. I don't have any, plus I feel lethargic all the time. I have an elliptical machine in my bedroom and I haven't touched it in months. Amy and I are going to start going to Aquafit at the Y and hope we'll find the time for more classes.

    HCLI, My friends don't go to the gym. I want to make use of my membership while I have it, so will try some fitness classes. I loved them in university.
