Do you ever have those regrets, where you ask yourself, "Why did I just do that?" I've had a few lately, lots in my life. Why did I date that guy? Why did I stay up late watching Jay Leno instead of just going to bed when I had to wake up early? Why did I buy that gym membership I never use? Why did I buy that shirt hanging in my closet with the tags still on it?
A couple of weeks ago it was buying books I did not need. Today it was making and eating an entire box of KD to myself. There goes that gym workout yesterday! Why did I do that?
What is your biggest "why did I do that" moment? Have you had any recently?
I haven't had these kind of moments for awhile. I usually think out methodically on whether I should do a certain thing.
ReplyDeleteBut it's an interesting topic you have.

Well, my biggest moment was "Why did I marry that man?" I know if I didn't I wouldn't have my sweet boys now, but marrying him was a mistake.
ReplyDeleteLately, it's more about why did I eat that KFC or those 6 cookies...lol.
lol Tales....that was my regret too, except I am still married. Long story.
ReplyDeleteMore currently, it is why did I go off WW two years ago after I had lost 80 lbs. guess what...I found them again. sigh.
I do that all the time. For example, I just ate a bunch of cookies. SO regretful. ~___~;
ReplyDeleteThankfully, I don't as much as I used to. I think that asking ourselves, "why did I just do that" helps us realize why we're *REALLY* doing something, and gets us in the habit of asking *before* the fact, "why do I want to do that?".
ReplyDeleteI have them kind of a lot for someone who prides herself on being thoughtful. I take wrong turns, end up at the wrong destination, misschedule myself, say stupid things, etc. Maybe less than I did before... but still. Frequently enough. :)
ReplyDeleteBig ones tend to be "Why DIDN'T I do that" actually.
